A little history

Worthington was settled in 1764 and incorporated in 1768.

The town's third Congregational church, including its steeple, bells, organ and stained glass windows, was built on the same site and dedicated in 1888 after the second church burned in 1887.

Worthington celebrated its bicentennial in 1968.
