A little history

Hull was first settled in 1622 and officially incorporated as a town in 1644, taking its name from Kingston upon Hull, England.

Lifesaver Joshua James (1826-1902) led Hull's volunteer and U.S. Life-Saving Service crews, which are estimated to have saved over 1,000 people from shipwrecks off the peninsula.

The Paragon Park amusement park opened next to Nantasket Beach in 1905 and operated until 1984; its 1928 carousel was saved by a local preservation effort and relocated to its current site in 1986.
