A little history
Marshfield was settled in 1632 and incorporated as a town in 1640, one of the older towns in Plymouth County.
Statesman and orator Daniel Webster lived on a farm in Marshfield in the 19th century; the town's seal and nickname, "Home of Daniel Webster," refer to him.
