A little history
New Hartford was incorporated in 1738.
The town was historically home to manufacturers including Ovation Guitar Company, Underwood Typewriters and the Greenwoods Company textile mill, based at what is now Hurley Business Park.
Ski Sundown originally opened as Satan's Ridge Ski Area in 1963 and was later reopened under its current name.
