Medway Village Historic District
A roughly 60-acre historic district along Village Street with more than 240 structures built mostly between 1831 and 1897, when textile mills powered by the Charles River drove the village's growth. Village Street itself was laid out in 1670, making it the town's oldest road.

Medway was first settled in 1657 and was incorporated as its own town on October 25, 1713.
Water power from the Charles River and Chicken Brook drew cotton and paper mills to the village in the 19th century, and the Medway Village Historic District, listed on the National Register in 2008, preserves more than 240 structures from that period.
A rail station in the village served the New York and New England Railroad and later the MBTA's Millis Branch from 1861 to 1966.
